Founded in 1488 Haverfordwest Grammar School occupied a number of sites through the centuries but in 1856 was established in lower Dew Street where it remained for more than a century until it moved to a new building at Scarrowscant Lane in 1964.
The grammar school ceased to exist in 1978 when it was merged with Tasker's School for Girls to create Tasker Milward on the adjcent site at Portfield Avenue. Now both schools have been consigened to history along with Sir Thomas Picton School and the buildings will be demolished to make way for the new Haverfordwest High VC School.
